The customer had just had Solar Panels installed on the roof of their garage and didn’t want to dig up the driveway to run a cable to provide internet to the garage to connect the invertor to the internet.
The WiFi router was at the front of the house, so to avoid running cables around the house I installed a WiFi extender with an ethernet output port. I then connected that to a directional antenna on the back of the house and a receiver on the garage, which sent the customers WiFi from the house to the garage. I then provided an ethernet port in the garage to connect direct to the Solar Invertor.
