The customer is a cattle farmer and needed a calving camera in his shed. There was power in the shed but no direct line of sight to the farmhouse due to trees.
As there was no direct line of sight to the farmhouse, it wasn’t possible to send WiFi to the shed and 400m is too far to run cable.
I discussed 2 options including the customer getting a 4g router for the shed to provide WiFi. The other option proposed was a 4G Solar Powered camera.
The customer decided to go for the 4G camera option, which I installed in the shed and mounted the solar panel outside. I activated the SIM card for the customer, configured everything and showed him how to use his new solution.
The customer and all his family can now monitor their cattle remotely on their phones.
