The customer works from home and needs really good internet in his garden office. He would also like good coverage throughout the house. He lives in a 3 storey town house with fibre broadband which is great on the ground floor but doesn’t reach the other floors. He’s tried DECO Mesh systems with little success and asked me to provide the right solution to provide the best possible performance.
I created a mini hub in the attic connected to the main router on the ground floor, which drives the whole network. I then installed two access points (on the 1st & 2nd floors) and a 1Gb switch in his son’s bedroom for his PC & gaming console. I then ran a cable out to the garden office where I installed a further access point and 1Gb switch. They now enjoy super fast broadband everywhere.
