SkyQ & WiFi Service Call – Clonamery

Unless you have Sky Broadband, SkyQ boxes will not connect via WiFi, and must be connected via LAN cable. The cleanest and cheapest way to achieve this is to use TPLink Powerline adapters which I installed and got the Sky Boxes working.

The customer had installed 2 additional routers in the house to extend coverage. These were both throttling download speeds as they weren’t set up correctly. You should only have one router per network. I set the other two up in access point mode, and he now has 500Mb downloads everywhere.

Whilst I was there I also setup an Amazon Echo Dot and connected his office Printer to the WiFi network.
